About Us

Our Story

Once upon a time, two sides of one family decided to move next door to each other. What began as an intentional way to spend more time together ended up becoming a way to hold each other up during a season of unimaginable trials. We were each searching for a creative outlet in the midst of hardship. Around New Year's Day 2024, we made the decision to combine our talents to create a digital print shop: Kling Collective.

Chanae Kling

Inspired by her mother's artistic ability and her penchant for palette knives, Chanae learned the basics of painting from her. But it truly became a passion on the bathroom floor of MD Anderson while caring for a loved one through a brutal cancer battle. She needed a creative outlet, and she found solace with a canvas and a palette knife. Through consecutive seasons of hardship, painting has continued to serve as a therapeutic tool of healing in her life.

Jennifer Kling

Ever since her first book was featured in her elementary school library in third grade, Jennifer has wanted to be a writer. She completed her first novel at age 12 (which she hopes never sees the light of day) and spent much of her adolescence writing short stories and poems. Upon graduating from college with a journalism degree, she discovered that writing jobs were hard to come by, so she honed her editing skills and taught herself graphic design. She still hopes to write the Great American Novel one day, but in the meantime, she has contributed her graphic design, editing, and marketing experience to Kling Collective. You can find her blogging her thoughts at Once Bitten Twice Wry.

Justin Kling

Justin has been behind a camera since he was eight years old. He's spent most of his career in the camera department of a variety of television shows, movies, and commercials. Most recently, he's been a part of many different popular home renovation shows -- both as a director of photography and a camera operator. Now he brings his lighting and camera skills to capture the beautiful artwork and calming interiors of Kling Collective.
